Terms & Conditions

  • Placing a hire booking with Jitter Bugs verbally, by phone, Internet or any other method of communication constitutes you having read, understood and agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
  • Please read this agreement carefully. The person/company making a booking will be known as the ‘hirer’. Upon entering into this agreement, you the hirer, agree to be bound by the terms within.
  • These are the only terms and conditions upon which will form a binding contract with you. No alteration or substitution to these terms and conditions shall be valid unless agreed in writing by Jitter Bugs.
  • Within these terms and conditions reference to the ‘booth’ shall include all accessories, decorations, props and any other artefact used with the booth hired by you from Jitter Bugs.
  • A non refundable booking fee of £50 is required to secure a booking of a hire period. A booking is not confirmed until the hirer has received confirmation of receipt of deposit by Jitter Bugs.
  • The period of hire will be agreed between the hirer and Jitter Bugs at the time of booking. Any request for alteration of hire period by the hirer after the time of booking and before the hire date will be considered and where possible permitted. Any additional price change occured due to a hire time alteration by the hirer will be paid for by the hirer before the event date. No payment will result in the original hire period being adherred to.
  • The balance of the booking fee will be paid by the hirer no later than four weeks prior to the booking date. Jitter Bugs reserves the right to cancel any booking where payment is not made four weeks prior to booking. Payment will be made in full for bookings taken with less than four weeks to the date of the booking.
  • Cancellations of a hire booking by the hirer must be given in writing and will result in the loss of the non refundable £50 booking fee.
  • Whilst highly unlikely, if Jitter Bugs must cancel a booking then the hirer will be notified in writing as soon as practicable and a full refund given if no alternative booth can be offered to the hirer.
  • Any and all payments will be made by bank tranfer and confirmation of reciept given by Jitter Bugs and the hirer.
  • The person named as the ‘hirer’ will take responsibility for the booth during the set up, hire period and set down period.
  • A charge for any damage caused to the booth during the hire period will be invoiced to the hirer, and any damage caused to the booth during set up or set down by a third person will be invoiced to the hirer. A charge for a loss or theft of accessories, decorations or props that accompany the booth will be invoiced to the hirer. All non payment of charges for damage, loss or theft will be taken to Small Claims Court without exception.
  • Jitter Bugs or any of their employees shall not be liable in respect of damages/injury/loss incurred in respect of this hire booking.
  • The hirer will provide a suitable space for the booth to be used properly in accordance with any relevant health and safety requirements at the venue. A suitable space shall be defined as a clean, dry area of unobstructed space no smaller then 3x3metres with enough space around for Jitter Bugs staff to move freely and safely. Suitable space can be indoors or outdoors but the hirer must ensure the venue has safe and suitable access to the space.
  • If the space provided for the hire period is unsuitable or if during the hire period becomes unsuitable, Jitter Bugs reserves the right to move the booth to a more suitable space for the remainder of the booking or cancel the hire booking.
  • Parking shall be provided at the expense of the hirer as close as practicable to the space of the booking for a large van for the duration of the booking.
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the hirer gives permission for Jitter Bugs full rights to use any images taken in or out of the booth on the Jitter Bug’s website, in social media or in Jitter Bug’s promotional material without limitation.
  • Caution should be exercised when entering, occupying and exiting the booth and using accessories, decorations and props.
  • Jitter Bugs staff will be present during part or all of the hire period depending on the individual booking and will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour or language towards themselves or the booth.
  • Jitter Bugs reserve the right to withdraw from a booking at any point due to violence at the booth or within the venue, unacceptable behaviour, exceptional adverse weather or for serious personal reasons. A refund or partial refund under these circumstances is at the discretion of Jitter Bugs.
  • Jitter Bugs hold no liability for delays or failure to attend bookings due to a force majeure. In the event that Jitter Bugs is delayed Jitter Bugs will extend the hire period to cover the time loss where possible or refund to the time loss if no extension is possible.
